Matthew 5:1 His disciples… 2 He taught them, saying: 3“Blessed are the poor in spirit, 4 Blessed are those who mourn, 5 Blessed are the meek, 6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, 7 Blessed are the merciful, 8 Blessed are the pure in heart, 9 Blessed are the peacemakers, 10 Blessed are those who have been persecuted for the sake of righteousness,”

13 “You are the salt of the earth;

14 “You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. 16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”

John 9:5 “As long as I am in the world, I am the light of the world.”

Ephesians 5:8 You were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord.

Matthew 4:16 The people who sat in darkness have seen a great light, and upon those who sat in the region and shadow of death light has dawned.

John 6:47 “Most assuredly, I say to you, he who believes in Me has everlasting life.”

II Corinthians 4:3 If our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing… 4 who do not believe, lest the gospel of the glory of Christ… should shine on them… 6  For it is the God who commanded light to shine out of darkness, who has shown in our hearts…

QUESTIONS FOR LIFE

2.How does it make you feel to know what Jesus says about you in the light of what He says about Himself?
